What are the core components of a document management system?

  1. controlled distribution
  2. controlled access for editing etc.
  3. revision control

Does Twiki accomplish this? Yes!

  1. A centralized document "web" controls distribution
  2. Access to documents and "webs" can be controlled by group
  3. A revision control system based on RCS
  4. An attachment system
